Motivation is not an Important Thing

When it comes to doing something that is really helpful or beneficial to us, we people often have burdens or obstacles which we, ourselves, make. These are laziness, excuses, and including being unmotivated. Actually, motivation is fundamentally a feeling. When you rely on a feeling to be in the course of your life or to improve your health and sustain life, there comes a terrible disaster.
This is the normal formula of a person when he thinks about doing something:

In fact, motivation is not a thing to be considered in the first place. You just need to act first, do the action first, and some of the work will be done which are called small successes, and then you began to feel motivated. And the cycle restarts until the work comes to an end or the point where you feel it is done.
Here it is:

There’s something I also have to mention is that the action you do must be pleasurable or enjoyable. When it is not fun, why would you do it right?
I know there are some exceptions. For example, in the middle of an examination, you need to study whether it is enjoyable or not. Sounds a bit silly, just to think that like this. In that case, discipline is needed.
There will be times you don’t feel like doing it, but you have to do it. In that case; for example, as for me, I have to write an essay for the online course I’m doing and I’m afraid I’m not doing it for the whole week, every day. So, I told my friend, “I will ring you if I start writing the essay and if I’m not writing it that day, I will give you 10 dollars (15,000 kyats).”
By doing this, I don’t think about any feelings: motivated or unmotivated. I just sit at my table and start writing the essay. When I finished two paragraphs, I become involved in the essay.
The main point I want you to understand is that during the journey of improving yourself or doing the thing that matters to you, motivation isn’t the main thing to be considered, don’t make your action to be delayed because of a feeling. As the slogan of Nike, “JUST DO IT”.
